After over thirty years in nursing — across emergency, intensive care and clinical leadership — I opened Lucent Aesthetics to bring that same standard of care into aesthetics. Not the fast, results-at-any-cost version, but something slower, more considered and genuinely rooted in evidence.
Lucent runs as an at-home salon. That is a deliberate choice. Keeping my overheads low means, I can keep pricing competitive and fair, without cutting corners on quality, safety or the time I give each person who sits in my chair.
You may notice my hours shift from time to time. That is because I remain committed to working with Queensland Health. Staying active in a clinical setting keeps my skills sharp and keeps me learning — and everything I bring back from that work is used to improve outcomes for the people I care for here at Lucent. I would rather be a better practitioner with a moving diary than a static one who has stopped growing.
I also have a deep love of research. I am always reading, questioning and looking for the best evidence-based treatments, because I believe you deserve care built on what actually works, not on what is simply trending.
My approach to skin is layered. Rather than chasing a single result, I help clients support the four foundations of healthy, resilient skin — structure, laxity, texture and overall skin health.
I do this through treatments such as HIPRO V HIFU for lifting and collagen stimulation; Purisma Plus Plasma, Dotless Plasma and Jet Plasma for resurfacing and renewal; and cosmetic injectables where clinically appropriate. These are complemented by medical-grade skincare and clinically formulated ingestibles, so your results are supported from within as well as in-clinic.
I believe in natural-looking outcomes, honest conversation and informed decision-making. Every individual deserves compassionate, tailored care — and my role is to walk alongside you in a true long-term skin partnership, built on trust, professionalism and clinical integrity.
That is why Lucent exists. Not to sell you a quick fix, but to support your skin, and you, for the long term.
Diolch, Nerys

Women over 55 experiencing homelessness — not the kind most people picture, but the hidden kind. Couch surfing. Living in their cars. Quietly slipping through the cracks of a system that too often overlooks them. They are the fastest-growing group experiencing homelessness in Australia, and they are someone's mother, grandmother, sister, or friend.
That's why I'm participating in the Live Like Her Challenge.
For one night, I'll be sleeping in my car to raise awareness and funds so these women can access safe, secure housing, and the support and dignity every woman deserves.
